Unit Profile
- Unit: CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
- Staffing Description: Primary RN model with Unit Clerk and occasional tech
- Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps, Level 1 Rapid Transfusion
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours/week, every other weekend or three weekend shifts/month
- Floating Policy: To Critical Care as needed

Must-Have Skills:
- Critical Care Competency
- Vasoactive infusions
- Arterial lines
- Invasive central lines
- Ventilator management
Preferred Skills:
- Cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Cardiology experience
Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Chest tube placement
- Central line placement
- Bronchoscopy
- Percutaneous tracheostomy
Certifications Required:
