- Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.
- Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images electronically.
- Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager; performs other related duties as assigned.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field; regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years’ related experience in imaging in a hospital setting.
- ARRT registration in Radiography required.
- MRI registry required.
- BLS - AHA required.

- Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.: Siemens MRI equipment.
