Job Description
IU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience, specifically in apheresis, dialysis, and handling central lines and ports. The position requires candidates to have their Indiana license and certifications in hand to be considered.
Shift Requirements
- Schedule: 4x10s (four 10-hour shifts)
Certification Requirements
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Skillset Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Apheresis equipment experience is mandatory
Staffing Ratios
- 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
Unit Information
- Specialties include GVHD, BO, CTCL, and Photopheresis
- Special Equipment: CellEx
Additional Information
- Effective 11/30/24: Indiana RNs will not be allowed to work at IU Health facilities, with exceptions for certain specialties (e.g., Periop/OR RNs).
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport is required.
- HIPAA Acknowledgement is mandatory.
- Background checks and references are required.
Health Document Requirements
- Physical Exam: Must be completed within 12 months of the start date.
- Fit Mask: Must be tested with approved respirators.
- Vaccinations: Proof of vaccinations for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella is required.
- Drug Testing: A negative 10-panel drug screen is required within 12 months of the start date.
- Flu Vaccination: Required for the flu season (August 2024 - March 2025).
