Job Description
- Facility Overview: A brand new state-of-the-art facility, the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, is set to open in May 2025. It will be New Jersey’s first and only freestanding cancer hospital, integrating RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute.
- Shift Time: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Cases per Day: 5-10
- Experience Required: 3+ years
- Travelers: First-time travelers are accepted.
- Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday required, as applicable. No block scheduling.
- On-Call Requirements: Maximum of 3 nights in a seven-day period from 5 PM to 7 AM.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications:
- NJ License Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Skills:
- Scrub and circulate required
- Familiarity with sterile procedures, equipment setup, closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Phillips Angio Suites
- Experience with EPIC: Radiant and Q-site charting
Additional Information
- Local Candidates: Locals are accepted.
- Documentation Requirements:
- Various accounting documents and certifications are required for clearance.
- Compliance with health and safety training, including OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required for specific units.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - Required for ER and Behavioral Health RNs.
- NIH Stroke Certification - Required for Adult Critical Care Specialties.
- Drug Testing - Required within 30 days of start.
Health Documents
- Physical Exam - Required within the previous 12 months.
- TB Testing - Required initial baseline screening.
- Vaccinations - Influenza vaccine or medical/religious exemption required annually.
Background Check
- A criminal background check is required within 30 days of start.
References
- Two references required, including one managerial reference.
