  • Position: L&D RN
  • Ratios: 1-2 couplets
  • Min Years of Exp: 3+ years in a high acuity L&D, will consider 2 years if worked in a teaching facility or high risk facility.
  • First-Timer OK: will consider first time traveler if minimum 5 years of experience
  • Local OK: Yes
  • Weekend REQ: 3 weekend days/month
  • On-Call REQ: NO
  • Floating Details: occasionally to PostPartum if within scope
  • Open to Block: NO
  • Blackout RTO Dates (if applicable): cannot have RTO 1st week of contract for new assignments and cannot request all 3 major holidays off
    Job requirements
  • Required Certs: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
  • Required Skills: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of External & Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Administration of blood & blood products, Drawing Venous Blood, Start & maintain peripheral IV, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Medication & Administration, Postpartum Care and Procedures, Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam, Neonatal Care in Delivery Room, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Epidural Anesthesia/ General Anesthesia/ Pain assessment & management, Postpartum Care of the Patient with: Vaginal Delivery/ Cesarean Section/ Couplet Care/ Multiple Births/ Postpartum Hemorrhage/ Pregnancy induced hypertension, Isolation Precautions/PPE & Vaccine Administration
