Certification details
- The registered nurse monitors, examines, and evaluates the patient’s conditions. Assists with the care plan and takes appropriate actions to promote the patient’s short/long-term outcomes and wellbeing.
- Delivers care plan as outlined, applying independent judgment where appropriate. Collaborates with and communicates patient care plans with other staff, as appropriate.
- Prioritizes and coordinates optimum daily patient flow and patient experience. Delivers safe and effective care according to policies and procedures.
- Maintains appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, education provided, and any incidents or exceptions related to standards of care or compliance with hospital policy.
Job details
- At least 2 years of Pediatric Emergency Department experience required.
- RN licensure for the State of Georgia or multi-state compact license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Job requirements
- Four 1900-0730 (PM) Every other weekend required
Schedule information
- Our ED encompasses the adult ED, the Pediatric ED and the Behavioral health area in the ED. The candidate may have to work in any of those areas but otherwise will not be sent to other departments.
- In total we currently have about 76 beds. Peds - 15 Adult - 52 BHU - 9
- Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: 1:3, 1:4 or 1:5 contingent on Patient type.
- Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs.
- Completion of a three day preceptor based Pediatric ED specific orientation to the pediatric ED.
