- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced PCU RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.
Job details
- Must have 2-3 years of experience in specialty - open to first time travelers.
- RN’s should have experience in a ICU stepdown or PCU unit.
- Training is telemetry.
- Training in high risk medications.
- Experience in Arterial and CVP pressure lines; titrating pressors; precedex; trach & stable vented patients.
- Must be able to titrate drips.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, levophed.
Job requirements
- Shifts are 12Hr starting at 645am/pm. 3 shifts/week.
- Schedules made out about 2-3 weeks in advance initially, then try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance.
- Self-scheduling for the most part.
- Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Days - Sat/Sun, Nights - Fri/Sat.
- No call or standby requirement.

- Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy blue
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 shift on unit
