Minimum Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management

Schedule information

Shift: 12 HR Nights; 36 or 48 hours accepted
If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours
Weekend Requirement: every other weekend
Ratios: 1:6 for floor for surgical/medicine inpatient patients

Unit specific information

Patient Diagnoses: Wide range of patient diagnoses involving surgery or trauma
Special Procedures: Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia Repair, TURP, Ostomy Creation or Closure, Wound Debridement
Special Equipment: Wound Vacs, Chest Tubes, NG tube/Corpak
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE: Schedule as needed
UNIT ORIENTATION: 2 Days of hospital orientation, 24 hours of floor training
SCRUBS: All Navy or Navy on bottom/White Top

Additional Details

Contract staff assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team
Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic event
