Job Description

The Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for administering respiratory and pulmonary treatments and testing. Responsibilities include:

• Administering oxygen and nebulizer treatments
• Performing stress testing
• Scheduling outpatient tests

Requirements

• Licensure:

  • New Mexico Respiratory Therapist License required
  • Must have RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) and sleep lab experience
• Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience required
  • Neonatal experience required
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• Skills:

  • Must be multi-skilled and confident in CAH (Critical Access Hospital) patient delivery, including neonatal resuscitation, PALS, ACLS, and Trauma.
• Other:

  • First-time travelers accepted
  • No pending licenses accepted

Additional Information

• Work Schedule:

  • Sleep lab on Friday and Saturday; RRT duties on Sunday. If patients cancel or there are no patients, work will be in RRT.
• Documentation Required:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Various health documents including TB test results, vaccination records, and drug screening
  • Background check and references

Health Requirements

• Vaccinations:

  • Tdap vaccine required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
  • Flu vaccine strongly encouraged during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation preferred but not mandatory
• Drug Testing:

  • 10-panel drug screen required within the last 12 months

Background Check

• 7-year criminal check required, including education verification.
