Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing various Nuclear Medicine procedures as prescribed by physicians. This position operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures and reports to the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • No call, weekends, or holidays

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited school in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Current Licensure in Massachusetts and NMTBC Registration or registry eligibility
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience

Required Credentials

  1. MGB Badge Photo: Submit a color photo taken in the past 6 months.
  2. BLS Certification: Must be from AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military.
  3. License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification.
  4. Fit Test: N95 fit test completed within 365 days prior to start date.
  5. COVID-19 Vaccine: Completed primary vaccination series or up-to-date COVID vaccine.
  6. MMR Vaccination: Documentation of two measles, two mumps, and one rubella vaccine or proof of immunity.
  7. Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
  8. TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test screening or negative QuantiFERON TB Test within 3 months of start date.
  9. Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date.
  10. MGB Criminal Background Check: Required for submission.
  11. MGB Massachusetts CORI: Criminal history check for the state of MA.
  12. MGB Resume: Include past 7 years of work experience.
  13. MGB References: Minimum of 2 recent references, including 1 supervisor or above.
  14. MGB Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
  15. MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required upon acceptance of assignment.
  16. Education Verification: Verification of highest level of education achieved.
  17. MGB SSN Trace: Must verify addresses/aliases for the past 7 years.
  18. MGB National Sex Offender Check: Conducted within 30 days of start.
  19. MGB Exclusion Checks: Search OIG, GSA, and MassHealth & NH Medicaid exclusion lists.

Additional Information

  • Documentation of vaccinations and health screenings must be current and submitted as required.
  • All credentials must be verified and updated as necessary.
  • Strongly preferred: Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity.

This position offers a structured work environment with a focus on patient care and safety. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in Nuclear Medicine and meet all credentialing requirements.
