Job Description

• Shift: 3x12s, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
• Floating: Required as needed
• Charge RN: May serve as Charge RN if needed

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years required; no first-time travelers
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • EPIC (Electronic Health Record)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - preferred
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - preferred
  • NIH Stroke Certification - required for Cardiac Progressive Care, MS/Tele
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - required
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - required
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Skills Required:

  • Blood product administration
  • Peripheral line care management
  • Starting IVs
  • Use of Rapid Response teams
  • Nasal Cannula management
  • Isolation precautions

Health and Safety Requirements

• Vaccinations: Proof of Adult Tdap Vaccine, Flu Vaccine, and COVID-19 Vaccination or Declination
• Drug Screen: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 30 days of start
• Fit Mask Test: Required annually

Education Requirements

• Degree: Associate's in Nursing or higher required for RNs
• Foreign Education: Documentation of foreign equivalency evaluation required if applicable
