Job Opportunity: Sonographer, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM)

• Type: Travel/Contract

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM (may vary to 8 AM - 4:30 PM if coverage is needed)

Department Overview

• The Maternal Fetal Medicine department sees an average of 50-75 patients daily, working closely with MFM providers, genetic counselors, medical assistants, nurses, and patient care representatives.
• The sonographer will perform various OB and GYN exams, including:

  • First Trimester Viability
  • Nuchal Translucency/First Trimester Anatomy
  • Detailed Anatomical Survey
  • Cervical Length Assessment
  • Ultrasound Guided Invasive Procedures (e.g., amniocentesis)
  • Fetal Echo and Doppler studies

Requirements

General Skills

• Proficient in PACS and portable ultrasound equipment.

Ultrasound Experience

• OBGYN, High-risk OB, Nuchal Translucency, CVS.

Vascular Experience

• Doppler Studies, M-Mode.

Equipment Experience

• GE ultrasound machines.

Certifications

• RDMS-OB (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Obstetrics)
• NT (Nuchal Translucency)

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Additional Information

• Scrub Color: Navy pants, Ceil Blue top
• EPIC Class: Online training on Day 1

Vaccination Requirements

• COVID-19: Verification of full vaccination or qualified exemption required.
• Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1 - March 31). Medical exemptions allowed with documentation.

Health and Safety Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within a year of start.
• Fit Test: Required within the last 12 months.
• TB Screening: Negative PPD, Tspot, or QGold within 1 year of start.
• Vaccination Records: Required for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.

Background Check

• A 7-year criminal check is required, including verification of all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.

References

• Proof of 2 clinical references is required.
