• Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour variable shifts (days/nights)

Unit Description

• MedSurg/IMC hybrid-type unit, recently re-classified at an IMC-level.

Requirements

Certifications

• Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Experience

• Some step-down experience preferred.
• Float required.

Documentation

• Current Driver's License or Government-issued photo ID.
• Primary Source Verification required within 30 days of start.
• Background checks and employment history verification required.

Health Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season.
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start.
• TB testing and other immunizations as specified.

Competencies

• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required.

Additional Information

• Must be able to provide two professional references, one of which must be from a supervisor level or higher.
• Candidates must complete all surveys in the facility's system prior to clearance.
