- May function as a surgical technologist.
- Responsible for assuring that all supplies and equipment are available for a surgical case.
Job details
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed an approved Surgical Technician and first assistant program.
- Experience in OB, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Dental, Urology, and general surgery cases.
- Advanced surgical knowledge.
- Ability to effectively communicate and make appropriate decisions.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Job requirements
- 4 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday 6:45am-5:15pm.
Schedule information
- Works closely with the OR Coordinator to ensure no conflicts in the OR schedule or individual cases occur.
- Also functions as a surgical technologist.
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation – use, care, and cleaning.
- Ability to manage instruments in the variety of cases listed above.
