Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintains ultrasound equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine patients, verifying identity and obtaining health status and medical history.
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety precautions are taken.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare staff, explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Develop and modify procedure plans based on health status and medical history.
• Analyze sonographic findings to assist in patient management and diagnosis.
• Notify healthcare providers when immediate medical attention is needed.
• Record diagnostic images and data for physician use and archival purposes.
• Ensure adequate supplies are available and maintain a clean working environment.
• Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound personnel.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of office and administrative practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
