Job details

Speech Language Pathologists are responsible for assessing diagnosing and treating speech, language, social, communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in children to adults. At CCHS, the SLP serves a mix of approximately 90% outpatient and 10%. Must be able to treat pediatrics to geriatrics, perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies and perform inpatient bedside swallow studies.

Really enjoyed this position. Great team. As with many places, ratios became a problem. They were really good for the first 4 months, then management tried to get RNs to do 1:6-7. I refused more than 1:5, especially the day they tried to add a vented patient to my load.
