Job Description

  • Patient Ratios: 1:5
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years; first-timers accepted
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required; no block scheduling
  • Primary Duties:
    • Primarily float to Oncology units
    • Support all IMC, MS/Tele, and holding areas as needed
  • Required Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
    • CHEMO (Chemotherapy Certification)

Additional Information

  • Local Candidates: Accepted
  • Time Off Requests: All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application.

Certification Requirements

  • ACLS: Required for various units including RN Manager, ED, and all Adult Critical Care Units.
  • BLS: Required for all RNs.
  • CHEMO Certification: Required for Oncology units.
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required for Adult Critical Care specialties.
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB): Required for ER and Behavioral Health RNs.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for Pediatric ER and Acute Care.

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Vaccinations:
    • Influenza vaccine or medical/religious exemption required annually.
    • COVID-19 vaccination is no longer a condition of employment but is tracked.
  • TB Testing: Required initial baseline screening.
  • Fit Testing: Required for respirator use; must be completed onsite.

Background and Reference Checks

  • Background Check: Required within 30 days of start; must include all aliases and locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
  • References: Two references required, including one managerial reference.
