Unit: Operating Room
Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year (First-time travelers not accepted)
Shift Details:
- Variable Start Times: 09:00 - 17:30 (must be flexible for 06:45 - 15:15 as needed)
- Call required
- Weekend coverage: Every other and every third weekend

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred but not required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for specific units
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required for ER

Skills Required

Experience in various surgical procedures including:
- Ambulatory OR
- General OR
- Trauma
- Laparoscopic Assisted Cases
- Various types of surgeries (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, mastectomy, spinal fusion, etc.)

Scrubs: Provided (navy blue for all RNs)

Health and Compliance Requirements

Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
TB Testing: Negative PPD or Quantiferon Gold within 1 year of start
Vaccinations:
- COVID-19 vaccine (Dose 1 and 2 if applicable)
- Flu vaccination documentation required during flu season
- MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and other immunizations as per facility policy
Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required
Background Check: Standard 7-year background check required

References

Minimum of 2 professional references required.
