Job Description

• Shift: Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• Experience Required: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand.
• Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH certification (must obtain prior to start)
  • Epic experience is mandatory.
• References: Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required for submission.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Additional Requirements

• Testing: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both assessments are required.
• Holidays: Traveler must work at least every other holiday.

Certifications and Competencies

• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - preferred
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - required for L&D, OB/GYN, and NICU
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required for ER
  • HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • State License Verification
  • NURSYS Verification
  • NIH Stroke Certification
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam
  • Fit Mask Testing
  • Tdap vaccine
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • Drug Testing
  • Flu Vaccine or Medical/Religious Exemption
• Background Check: Required prior to start of assignment.

Application Requirements

• Work History: Application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.
• References: 2 references required from employment within the past year.
