Job Description

• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care.
• Floating: Required as needed.
• Patient Diagnoses:

  • Labor and Delivery
  • Post Partum

  • Antepartum
  • Normal Newborn

Special Procedures

• Vaginal Delivery
• Cesarean Delivery
• Circulate in OR
• Start adult IVs
• Blood/Blood Products Administration
• Management of drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps
• Administration of insulin and magnesium sulfate

Special Equipment

• Circulate C/S
• High Risk Antepartum
• High Risk L&D
• LDRP
• Low Risk Antepartum/LD
• OB-GYN
• Post-Op/Pre-Op
• Couplet Care

Certifications Required

• AWHONN Intermediate
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
• IV Certification (if applicable)
• Other miscellaneous certifications as required

Skills Required

• Circulate
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• IV Start

Staff-to-Patient Ratio

• 1:1 to 1:3

Additional Information

• All previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
• Active compact license is honored at all Swedish facilities.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
