- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice and to Outpatient as needed
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers)
Compliance and Documentation
- Prescreening: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays may push back start date by 2 weeks.
- RTO (Request Time Off): Maximum of 7 days.
Holiday Work Expectations
- Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Required Certifications
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS: Basic Life Support
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (if applicable)
- EFM: Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for certain specialties
- State License Verification: Required for CRTs & RRTs in Georgia
- NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP
- Tech Cert Verification: National certification if applicable
Health Documents
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start.
- TB Questionnaire: Required annually.
- Vaccinations:
- Flu vaccine or declination required.
- COVID vaccine or declination required.
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination.
- Varicella, Rubeola, Mumps vaccinations or positive titers required.
Background and History Checks
- Background Check: Required within 30 days of start.
- References: 2 clinical references needed.
- Work History Verification: Required for most recent employer.
- Education Verification: Required for related degree noted on application.
Additional Information
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually.
