Job details

Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities. (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9.
IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.

Job requirements

Traveler must have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license to apply for this position.
Minimum 2 Year Experience.
Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6.
This is an Ortho/Trauma med/surg unit.

Schedule information

MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS.
TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3 x 12.
*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period.

Ortho/Trauma med/surg unit details.
About 20% of our population is ortho.
The rest is the trauma population.
