Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will perform direct patient/resident care and delegate tasks to patient care technicians. The role requires knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility care. The RN will care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment (30%): Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as per the physician's plan of care.
  • Direct Patient Care (30%): Administer medications, perform treatments, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms.
  • Treatment Evaluation (20%): Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update/revise plans.
  • Order Processing (10%): Accurately process physician orders and perform ordered care in a timely manner.
  • Medication Follow-Up (10%): Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg experience (required)
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA) certification (required)
  • Travel Experience: Highly preferred
  • EMR Experience: Epic experience (preferred)

Additional Information

  • Work History: Must provide a skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty.
  • References: 2 supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years.
  • Address Requirement: Candidates must provide a permanent address; local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered.
  • Dress Code: Navy Blue
