Job details

Target Ratios: 1:6-7.
*36 or 48 Hours can be offered. IF Accepting 48 Hours, No OT until after 48 Hours.
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
Shift: 12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
Float Requirement: Yes (Sister Units).
Weekend Requirement: every other.
Patient diagnoses: 24 bed medsurg/tele overflow unit; 1:6 ratio with CNAs to help support (1:12). Teamwork oriented environment in collaboration with Novant Inpatient Care Specialists (NICS).
Special Procedures: Telemetry is monitored on another unit by a tech. Nurse must be able to correctly treat dysrhythmias.
Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR
Unit Orientation: 36 hours, Hospital Orientation week one; must be available for classes each day.

Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
Traveler Experience required: No first-time travelers. Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Telemetry
Certs: BCLS
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

Additional Details

RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR
