Job Overview: Registered Nurse

Location: Salem, Oregon
Facility: Salem Hospital (Salem Health - MSP)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Shift: Day shift, 4/14 start
• Schedule:

  • 4 x 10 Hour shifts with variable start times (07:00, 09:00, 11:00)
  • Weekday night call shifts (8 hours, 23:00-07:00)
  • Weekend scheduled and call shifts (10/12 hours)
  • 5-6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years; first-time travelers allowed
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• Skills: Experience with Robot, Neuro, and Ortho required

Additional Information

• Documentation Required:

  • Clear copy of driver's license or state ID
  • Proof of name change (if applicable)
  • Education verification (High School or GED preferred)
  • Various certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
  • Background check and references
  • Health documents (TB screening, vaccinations, physical exam, etc.)

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs; black pants acceptable with a royal blue top.

Health and Safety

• Fit testing for masks required within the first week of starting.
• Flu vaccination or signed declination required annually.

Competencies

• Tele skills required for all RNs regardless of unit.
• Competency exams for specific skills may be required.
