Essential Functions

• Provide excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion.
• Perform imaging exams and procedures.
• Operate imaging and related equipment.
• Position and immobilize patients as necessary.
• Obtain clinical data and patient history for correlation with the exam.
• Practice radiation protection for both the patient and themselves.
• Apply ALARA and “Image Gently” principles when applicable.
• Select technical factors and imaging mode.
• Evaluate images for quality and perform post-processing.
• Assume care for physical and psychological needs of patients during treatments and examinations.
• Maintain IV skills.
• Assist in ordering exams and procedures appropriate to patient needs.
• Ensure exams and procedures are charged correctly.
• Verify correct patient, imaging site, positioning, protocols, and scanner parameters prior to conducting any exam or procedure.

• Mercy Southeast Hospital is a 245-bed Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center.
• Certifications include Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification and Primary Stroke Center Certification with Gold Seal of Approval.
