Job Description
- Shifts: Rotating shifts; no straight days or nights available.
- Experience Required:
- 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Must be an experienced traveler.
- Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required.
Unit Details
- Bed Capacity: 34 beds (6 progressive care and 15 telemetry patients).
- Patient Population:
- Neurology, Neurosurgery, and ENT patients.
- Common diagnoses include stroke, seizures, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders.
- Neurosurgery patients with head, neck, and back trauma, as well as elective surgeries.
- ENT patients with radical neck surgery due to trauma or cancer.
- Other services include trauma surgery, orthopedics, general surgery, and medicine.
- Capable of taking stable ventilators in PCU.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- State License Verification (permanent RN license required)
Health Requirements
- Physical Exam: Initial physical required, updated annually.
- Vaccinations:
- Tdap vaccine required (declination accepted).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray required.
- Flu vaccine or exemption required.
- Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen required.
Background Check
- Criminal background check required within 60 days of start.
References
- 2 references required.

Additional Information
- Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID during service hours.
- Proof of primary residence must match compact licensure.
