Job Description

Position: CVOR Tech
Schedule: 4x10 Days
Experience Required:
- 1 Year Minimum Experience
- Must have cardiac scrub experience within the past year/CVOR experience
Call Required: Yes

Required Certifications

BLS - Basic Life Support
NBSTSA - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (as applicable)
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (as applicable)
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (as applicable)
CHEMO - Chemotherapy (as applicable)
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course (as applicable)

Special Procedures

CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
EVAR (Endovascular Aneurysm Repair)
FEVAR (Fenestrated Endovascular Aneurysm Repair)
LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device)
AAA (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm)
Robotics
ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
Impella

Additional Requirements

Internal Requirements:
- I-9 required for direct candidates
- E-Verify required for direct candidates
- Drivers License required for all travelers
Health Documents:
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Test required within 1 year of start
- Adult TDAP Vaccine required within 10 years of start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
Background Check: 7 Year Background Check within 1 year of start

Competencies

Color Blind Exam required for all candidates
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
Unit Specific Skills Checklist required annually

Documentation

Complete Application/Resume required
Education Verification required - MUST verify highest level of education
2 Professional References required (Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care)

Notes

Very high acuity busy CVOR group that performs a variety of complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
Recent experience on a heart team with at least 1 year of solo work doing both open hearts and vascular cases is essential.
