Job details

Operating Room RN - Day shift with possible night shift rotation
There is a possibility for off-shifting (1-3 shifts in a week) once every 4-week scheduling period, but there are a lot of times there is no off-shifting
Weeknight call requirements: 1-2 nights/week on average
Weekend call requirements: Approx. every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday OR Sunday, 1-2 days/month)
Block schedule CANNOT be accommodated
Experience with a majority following cases is required: Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, DaVinci cases
DaVinci experience highly preferred
Oncology, Ortho, Neuro experience HIGHLY preferred

Job requirements

2 years of OR RN experience required
BLS required
First time travelers NOT accepted

Schedule information

Bi-Weekly Orientation
Day shift with possible night shift rotation
Off-shifting once every 4-week scheduling period
Weeknight call: 1-2 nights/week
Weekend call: Approx. every 4-5 weeks

Additional Details

Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost varies) or use daily rate parking
Call-Back & Extended Shifts: Call-back rate is paid if a traveler is on-call offsite and is called back to the facility after their shift. Regular rate until overtime for extended shifts
Travelers are not paid the same as Core staff members at Nebraska Medicine
