Job Description

• Unit Type: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown and telemetry required.

  • Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or a similar size hospital.
  • Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are applying for.

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Nursing License: Must have a Wisconsin nursing license or a compact license from the permanent address state.
• BLS Certification: Must be certified through the American Heart Association only.
• Telemetry:

  • Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
  • Must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting (not applicable for clinic positions).

Unit Information

• The 29-bed unit provides specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
• Specialty populations include patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.

Additional Requirements

• Floating: Travelers may be assigned shifts in multiple units based on staffing needs.
• Distance Requirement: Traveler’s permanent address must be within 50 miles of the assigned primary work site location.
