Job Description
- Unit Type: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown and telemetry required.
- Patient Ratios:
- General Care: 1:4

- Experience Requirement:
- Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or a similar size hospital.
- Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are applying for.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
- Nursing License: Must have a Wisconsin nursing license or a compact license from the permanent address state.
- BLS Certification: Must be certified through the American Heart Association only.
- Telemetry:
- Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
- Must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting (not applicable for clinic positions).
Unit Information
- The 29-bed unit provides specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
- Specialty populations include patients with Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.
Additional Requirements
- Floating: Travelers may be assigned shifts in multiple units based on staffing needs.
- Distance Requirement: Traveler’s permanent address must be within 50 miles of the assigned primary work site location.
Compliance and Documentation
- Background Check: Required within 90 days prior to the start date.
- Drug Testing: Required for all clinical candidates.
- Health Documents: Various health documents and vaccinations are required, including:
- TB testing
- MMR vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccination
- Varicella vaccination
- Flu vaccination or exemption during flu season
