Position Details

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Licensure: Must have a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
  • NIH Stroke Certification must be obtained prior to start.
  • Epic experience is mandatory.
• References: Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for are required for submission.

Additional Information

• Testing: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation; acceptable scores on both assessments are required.
• Holiday Work: Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• Documentation:

  • Government-issued photo ID required.
  • Various health documents and certifications are required, including but not limited to:

    • Fit Mask testing
    • Tdap vaccine
    • TB testing
    • Drug screening
    • Background check
    • Education verification

Competencies

• Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Skills Checklist: Required annually.

• Employment Application: Must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting.

Health and Safety Requirements
