Job Description
- Requires close to 2 years of experience.
- Floating is required for most positions, including NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS.
- Must comply with facility float expectations and be willing to accept appropriate assignments in these areas.
- An Ohio State or Compact RN license is required.
Required Certifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (required for NICU RNs)
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- Tech Cert Verification - National (required within 30 days of start)
- State License Verification - OH State or Compact RN license required
- NURSYS Verification - Required for RNs, LPNs/LVNs
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Passing score required
- Competency Exam - Required as applicable to Profession/Specialty
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I-9 - Required for direct placements
- Driver's License/State ID - Must match address in NOVA and Affiliating Health Record
- Residency Declaration Form - Internal requirement
- Background Check - Required within 30 days of start
- Education Verification - Verify highest degree through National Student Clearing House
- References - 2 Manager or Supervisor references required
- Employment Application - Copy required
- Skills Checklist - Unit specific, required annually
- Fingerprinting - Required within 60 days of start
- TB Questionnaire - Required for all candidates
- Drug Testing - Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen required within 60 days of start
- Flu Vaccine - Required during flu season (Oct 31 - May 31)
Health Documents
- Physical Exam - Required within 1 year of start
- N95 Fit Testing - Required within 1 year of start
- Vaccination Records - Including Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
- COVID-19 Vaccination - Optional as of 8/2023, with declinations acceptable
