Job Description

Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician, the Radiologic Technologist will:

• Perform specialized radiographic procedures and general diagnostic procedures as required.
• Follow and verify referring provider’s orders for diagnostic/interventional special procedures.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
• Produce high-quality images and prepare them for timely interpretation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and perform equipment quality control measurements.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify appropriate personnel.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors while adhering to radiation safety policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience: Cath lab experience is required.
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS certification is required.
  • Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program is required.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
• Experience: One year of related job experience is required.
• Licensure: Michigan license verification is required for nurses.

• References are not required, but a skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is preferred.
• Physical copies of certifications are only required if listed above.
• Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
