A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery/PP nurse for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.

Job requirements

2 full years of experience in Labor & Delivery/PP.
Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License required.
Experience needed in the Mother baby/Postpartum units.
Required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (which includes the day before, holiday, and day after).
C-section experience required: Yes- scrub, recovery, and circulate experience required for L&D.

Additional Details

Unit: Labor and Delivery.
# L&D Beds: 10 beds - 2 OR's in L&D.
# triage beds: 2 beds.
# Postpartum beds: 18 beds.
# births per day, per year: 130 births per month.
Certs: BLS, NRP, ACLS, A1 fetal heart monitoring.
Ratios: 1:1 close to delivery, 1:2 otherwise, 1:4 couplets on postpart.
FHM System: Obix fetal monitoring.
EMR: Cerner.
IV Team: None.
RT 24/7: Yes.
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes.
Floating: PP-no unless NICU background for feeder/grower, L&D to postpartum. Typically don't work interchangably.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Deliver down to 23 wks, some high risk- Antepartum, HTN , plan to tx out if known cardiac abnormality. Have perinatology support.
EOW; First to Float.
