- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Procedures performed on unit: Ventilator care, Therapeutic Hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temp pacer, Sepsis, Stroke/TPA, DKA
- ICU RNs are responders for Code Blue and Rapid Response Team
- Dress Code: Professional scrubs and appearance at all times

- Unit staffing description: Mixed patient population, open ICU, goal staffing 4 RNs 24/7
- Type of equipment: GE B650 cardiac monitors, vents, Gaymar cooling
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed
- Patient Experience requirements: AIDET validation during orientation, unit is focused on Nurse Communication, white board use, hourly rounding, bedside care conference/hand off

I’ve been with this organization for almost 5 years. Like most hospitals, staffing continues to be an issue. With that being said, if you pick up an extra shift they will compensate with an incentive. I may be biased, but teamwork is huge here at this smaller hospital. Everyone helps out and looks out for one another. Management is okay on days and nights.
