  • Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU at Renown Regional Medical Center
  • Role: Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU in the 18 bed Beacon Designated Intensive Care Unit at Roseview/Neuro ICU
  • This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process.
  • The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
  • This position provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.
  • The RN coordinates care between other professionals as needed.
    Job requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required to be considered.
  • Preferred experience caring for post Alteplase and/or post Thrombectomy patients.
  • Preferred experience caring for post neurosurgical patients with external ventric drains.
    Schedule information
  • Shift: 3x12, Nights, 1845 - 0715
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Call Requirements: Call is not required
  • Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level.
  • May be required to work major holidays and is required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period.
  • Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract.
  • This may be full or partial shifts.
  • Schedule varies based upon department needs.
  • Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
    Unit specific information
  • Unit Description: The Roseview ICU specializes in caring for neuro ICU patients including: ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, neurologic tumors, seizures, etc.
  • In addition to our large neuro population, we also care for general medical ICU patients which encompass all types of general medical disease processes including DKA, sepsis, and respiratory.
  • Our goal is the provision of clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.

  • The Region’s Only Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV.
  • Renown Regional Medical Center is the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City.
  • The facility treats over 80,000 ER and trauma patients a year.
  • It is also home to the region’s only children’s hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services.
