Job Description

The MRI Technologist will perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing assigned supervisory functions and maintaining ARRT standards.
• Demonstrating courteous behavior and adhering to customer service protocols.
• Verifying physician orders and consulting with radiologists as necessary.
• Preparing patients for exams and providing education and instruction.
• Adhering to MRI safety standards and performing all MRI studies.
• Assisting radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluating MRI images for technical quality.
• Operating and maintaining MRI and associated equipment, including performing equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks.
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year of recent GE MRI experience (REQUIRED)
• Certification: ARRT Certification (REQUIRED; AMRIT will not be considered)
