Duties
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced technology, ensuring high-quality images for evaluation.
Conduct nuclear medicine scans and interpret results in collaboration with physicians.
Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent contamination during procedures.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate findings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Assist in the diagnostic evaluation of patients through thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while operating medical imaging equipment.
Document all procedures accurately, maintaining detailed records for patient files.
Experience
A degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
Handle and prepare radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic scans
You must be certified by either the NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
Must have strong background in Nuclear Medicine, able to handle and prepare radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic scans.
Mississippi Medical Radiation Technologist license
