Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery (000539) Location: North Central Bronx Hospital, 3424 Kossuth Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467 Job Category: Acute - Nursing Job Code: RN - Labor & Delivery (000539) Department: NOR01 7A Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: • Hours Per Week: 34.5 • Hours Per Day: 11.5 • Days Per Week: 3 (Rotating weekends required) • Shift Time: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Compensation and Benefits: • Weekly Gross: $3,004.00 Per Week • On W2(Taxable): $690.00 Per Week ($20/hour) • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,324.00 Per Week Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery unit at North Central Bronx Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal and child care, with expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. The position requires the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to women in labor and postpartum care. • Assist with labor and delivery, including IV insertion and phlebotomy. • Administer conscious sedation as required. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. • Monitor and assess the physical and emotional needs of patients during the labor and delivery process. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities. Required: • New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification) • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) • BLS (Basic Life Support) • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification • IV Insertion and Phlebotomy skills • Maternal and child experience • Conscious Sedation experience • Prior experience in Labor and Delivery units. Application Requirements: • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Maternal and Child care, including IV Insertion and Phlebotomy skills.
