Job Title: Travel Surgical Tech Location: Albany Medical Center, Main Campus Address: 43 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208 Position Type: Travel Specialty: CST/ORT - OR Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: May 12, 2025 Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Weekend Requirement: 1 in 3 Holiday Requirement: Rotating Position Overview: Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Surgical Tech I to join our surgical team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of surgical specialties and be part of a dynamic healthcare team. Candidates must have strong neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience. Key Responsibilities: • Provide sterile surgical field during operations. • Assist the surgical team with patient positioning and prepare the operating room. • Maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgeries. • Support the surgical team by handing instruments and supplies during procedures. • Ensure proper handling and sterilization of instruments. • Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient care as needed. Qualifications: • NBSTSA CST certification required at the time of submission. • 2 years of experience in a surgical tech role. • Experience in neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgery required. • Local candidates are not accepted (please refer to the list of ineligible counties). • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
