Interventional Radiology Technologist – Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI Job Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 04/07/2025 Shift: Day, 5x8 (09:00 – 17:30) Block Scheduling: No Job Summary The Interventional Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, working closely with physicians and clinical teams to provide high-quality patient care. The role requires expertise in various interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures in accordance with protocols Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures Monitor and record patient vitals, hemodynamic data, and procedural details Operate imaging equipment, including CT and fluoroscopy, ensuring optimal image quality Maintain sterile techniques and follow radiation safety protocols Provide pre- and post-procedural patient care, including education and discharge instructions Document all procedures and patient interactions in compliance with facility policies Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in interventional radiology; travel experience required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either CCI RCIS or ARRT R certification required Skills: Proficiency in cardiac implant closure devices, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), hemodynamic monitoring, PCI, PTCA, and temporary pacemaker insertion Equipment Experience: CT, fluoroscopy Preferred Skills: Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella insertion, ventricular assist device insertion, Watchman procedures
