Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVOR Location: University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center - 901 Harry S Truman Dr N, Largo, MD 20774 Unit: Operating Room (CVOR) Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (high possibility of extension) Start Date: 04/21/2025 Compensation: • Weekly Gross: $3,520.00 Per Week • On W2(Taxable): $1,000.00 Per Week ($25/hour) • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,520.00 Per Week Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center. The RN will work in the Operating Room performing CVOR procedures, ensuring the best care for our patients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment alongside experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in the CVOR environment. • Assist with preparing patients for surgery, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as needed. • Document patient information accurately and consistently using Epic (required). • Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards to provide safe, effective care. • Ensure sterile techniques and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. • Assist with floating to other units as needed based on hospital needs. • Participate in on-call duty (36 hours every 6 weeks) and work weekends as scheduled (minimum 1 weekend per month). Requirements: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (MD or Compact License). • Minimum of 2 years of General and CVOR experience. • BLS certification (required). • ACLS certification (required). • Must be comfortable with floating and working in various units within the hospital. • Must be able to meet the requirements for on-call shifts and weekends. • Ability to document patient information accurately and in real time using Epic. Additional Information: • Scrubs provided. • No COVID-19 vaccine required by facility, but flu vaccine required. • Local candidates (under 50 miles) are not eligible for this position.
