Job Description: Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit (Night Shift) at LBH - Northwest Hospital Job Title: Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit Location: LBH - Northwest Hospital - 5401 Old Court Rd, Randallstown, MD 21133 Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Start Date: 04/07/2025 Contract Duration: 14 weeks Compensation • Weekly Gross: $2,260.00 Per Week • On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour) • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,540.00 Per Week Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the Step Down Unit (2B Intensive Care Stepdown) at LBH - Northwest Hospital. This position requires expertise in managing critically ill patients, including those on mechanical ventilation and with complex medical conditions. Job Responsibilities • Provide patient care in a Step Down unit, specifically for patients who require post-operative care, monitoring, and management after ICU admission. • Administer treatments, medications, and assist in the management of complex dysrhythmias. • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, including those with arterial lines, tracheostomies, and ventilators. • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to deliver quality care. • Float within the hospital based on patient care needs and staffing requirements. Requirements • Licensure: Current Maryland RN license or a Compact RN license • Certifications: o ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) o BLS (Basic Life Support) o NIH Stroke Certification • Experience: o Minimum 2 years of experience in a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) or Step Down Unit. o Experience in managing telemetries and dysrhythmia required. • Vaccinations: o Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious exemptions considered) o COVID-19 vaccine not required (Facility policy) Patient Population • Patients are primarily critical, including those transferred from the ICU, post-operative patients, and medical-surgical (MS) patients. • Expected care includes managing patients with tracheostomies, arterial lines, and those on ventilators. Additional Details • Float Requirement: Will be required to float to other units within the hospital.
