Position: Physicist Openings: 1 Location: Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 Duration: 13 week contract + extensions Details: o SHIFT/HOURS: 8 a to 4:30 p / 40 hours o ON-CALL: no o WEEKENDS: possible o EXPECTED WEEKLY HRS: 40 o DRESS CODE: Business Casual lab coat on site o PARKING FEES: none Must Haves: • Master's Degree in Physics or related field • CPR Cert. • Elekta MONACO TPS MOSAIQ Equipment experience Plusses: • ABR Certified (Therapeutic Medical Physics Certification - American Board of Radiology) • Doctorate • 1-3 Publications in Medical Physics Day to day: • Under the supervision of a level II or higher medical physicist, this job is responsible for all clinical aspects of medical physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology • Audits and reviews patient medical charts • Performs quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines • Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards • Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff and provides consultation services to attending physicians • Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures • Other duties as assigned or requested ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Audits and reviews patient medical charts. 30% • Performs quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines. 20% • Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned. 20% • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards. 10% • Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff and provides consultation services to attending physicians. 10% • Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures. 10%
