Tele RN - 12hr Nights - **AUTO OFFER** NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE) Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: 1/13 or 1/27 -- Bi weekly orientation Guaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request) Primary location: Henderson Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7 Float Requirement: First to float within skillset. Potential float (8 miles apart). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call/Call Back Requirement: N/A Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every third weekend. Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS. Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Three years as RN - including one solid year of telemetry experience and one successful travel assignment. Stepdown experience is a plus, but not required, and the candidate must be agreeable to tele patient assignments. Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Patient Population: Telemetry patient population, including stable drips. Sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, dementia. Surgical – urology, abdominal, ortho. Skillset: Required: Tele interpretation, initiate/maintain stable heparin, Lasix, protonix, and cardiac drips (i.e., Cardizem). Preferred: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, blood product administration, continuous BiPap, drain management, Neutropenic precautions. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, while being a hard worker who is resilient, manages changes well, and is an excellent team player. Unit Information: Tele – 15 beds; Ratio Days: 1:5-6, NOCs 1:6. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift. Unit Strengths: Excellent retention and experience on unit. Smaller facility with great teamwork and a seasoned nursing staff. Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
