Shift Breakdown: 5x8 hrs
Shift: 8 hours, days

13 week + extensions Must Haves: • ARRT cert. & BLS • Minimum 1 year of Radiology tech OR clinical rotation experience • Graduate of Radiologic Technology Program Day to day: - 8 hour shifts - no on call -Mostly daylight coverage, with occasional afternoon shift. -Every other weekend coverage. Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs routine and special radiographic procedures following prescribed protocols and procedures. Uses ionizing radiation producing equipment to perform radiographic studies. Demonstrates competence in the assessment, range of treatment, and knowledge of growth and development, appropriate to the age and disability of the patient treated. Utilizes computers to process radiographic images and access HIS/RIS systems. Uses computers to process radiographic studies and patient billing information. Permitted to change patient from portable O2 to wall O2.

Was not entirely pleased with management. Was treated differently than full time employees, manager told me “they paid me enough” that my overtime was rarely ever going to happen when asked why I couldn’t clock in 5-10 minutes prior to my first patient arrival. (Full time employees were allowed to) No overtime was ever given. Most of the echo techs were cross trained from vascular. Did however enjoy the area, the lead tech was very accommodating. The hospital was friendly and echo lab was fairly up to date.
