24-20470 Cardiac Sonographer (Registered) Santa Fe, NM 13 weeks DEPARTMENT: Echo Lab (Echocardiography) Shift: Start Time: 7:00 AM End Time: 5:30 PM 10 hour rotating shifts no call POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.Two year allied health education program that is patient care related.Allied health occupations include but are not limited to: diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist and/or registered nurse preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License. BLS certification issued through American Heart Association within six months of hire. SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively Demonstrates strong organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with others from a variety of disciplines Ability to work at a rapid pace under stressful conditions Manual dexterity to perform echocardiograms. EXPERIENCE: Two years of actively doing echocardiograms preferred.
