Strictly TELEPHONIC triage role Responsibilities include: Triaging patients for acute/sick concerns via phone Providing patient education Scheduling for SDS visits or referring to urgent care/ED when appropriate Collaborating with providers and various members of the practice to maximize patient care outcomes Types of calls include URIs, rashes, GI related concerns, UTIs, vaginal bleeding, falls, orthopedic related concerns (knee pain, back pain) Looking for candidates with effective and strong communication skills, great with time-management, team player and able to work independently, empathetic, flexible, strong at navigating EHR while talking to patients on the phone On average, nurses perform anywhere from 40-60 callbacks per day. Average call length time is about 7 minutes.
