Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location: Bakersfield, CA Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift Weekly Hours: 36-Hour Weekly Guarantee Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Bakersfield, CA, on a 13-week contract. This night-shift position offers an opportunity to provide critical care to patients with complex medical needs in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life-support equipment. Conduct thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans for patients with severe medical conditions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and specialists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, initiating emergency protocols when necessary. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards. Educate and support patients' families, providing updates and explanations about treatment plans and progress. Requirements: Active and unencumbered California RN license. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ICU experience. Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred. Proficiency in the use of advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner) is a plus. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Contract Details: 13-week assignment with potential for extension. 12-hour night shifts with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.
