Shift: 12 hours, nights

Job Description Shift: 12-hour shifts, from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM (night shift). Includes working every third weekend. Patient Population: The ICU treats a variety of critically ill patients, including those on ventilators, with surgical complications, or requiring interventions such as impella and balloon pumps. They also manage patients with hypoxia and those on various intravenous drips. Pediatric patients (under 12 years old) are also admitted to this ICU, making the unit capable of handling both adult and pediatric critical care. Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:1-2, meaning you may care for 1 to 2 patients per shift, depending on the acuity and need of the patients. Specialty Profile Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in a community or rural hospital setting. Licensing: The nurse must be licensed in Nebraska or a Compact State. Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), all issued through the American Heart Association.
